CONTAINMENT FOR SHARED AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Shared infrastructure.
Contained incidents.

AI infrastructure shares computers, networks and storage. If attackers take over one system, those connections can give them a route to others.

CordonGrid is developing a way to help stop a compromised system from putting others at risk. Our goal is to contain the incident and reduce disruption across shared AI infrastructure.

THE APPROACH01 / 05

Contain the impact.
Protect what matters.

AI services depend on shared infrastructure. Our aim is to help operators respond to a compromised system while reducing the risk to the wider environment.

01

Limit the spread.

Help prevent an incident affecting one part of an environment from putting other systems and resources at risk.

Concept illustration of a limited response around an affected part of a shared environment.
02

Support the operator.

Make containment a considered response, with clear responsibility for decisions and their consequences.

03

Build confidence.

Develop evidence that helps operators understand the effectiveness and limits of the protection.

THE CONCEPT, SIMPLY02 / 05

Shared resources.
A shared responsibility.

Many AI systems depend on the same underlying computers, networks and storage. Those connections can also create opportunities for an attack to spread.

OUR GOAL

Help contain a compromised system before the incident reaches further.

DEVELOPMENT03 / 05
IN DEVELOPMENT

A clear purpose.
A careful path forward.

CordonGrid is pursuing research into containment for shared AI infrastructure. We are developing the concept and working towards evidence of its practical value.

FOCUS

Shared AI environments.

Understand the containment needs of organisations that operate AI infrastructure and the consequences of an incident spreading.

PRIORITY

Useful, credible protection.

Evaluate the intended benefits, operational constraints and limitations before making claims about performance or protection.

NEXT STEPS

Research and collaboration.

Engage with infrastructure operators and research specialists to inform development and future evaluation.

A FEW IMPORTANT DETAILS

Clear purpose.
Clear expectations.

What problem is CordonGrid addressing?

When AI systems share resources, an incident affecting one system can put others at risk. CordonGrid is developing a way to help contain that impact.

Is CordonGrid available today?

CordonGrid is in research and development. This website describes our intended direction, not a production ready product or a demonstrated security guarantee.

Who is it for?

Our focus is organisations operating shared AI infrastructure, including AI data centres, cloud providers and enterprises.

Can we discuss a collaboration?

Yes. We welcome conversations about operator needs, research partnerships and future evaluations. Contact Luke to discuss an appropriate next step.

Privacy choices

Optional tracking starts only after you allow it. You can use the site with every option off.

Your choice is remembered for up to 180 days on this browser. Withdrawal stops future optional collection and clears this site’s analytics identifiers. It does not automatically delete data already received.

Privacy notice

Website operator: Luke Collinson, operating CordonGrid. Privacy enquiries: luke@cordongrid.io. Notice prepared 19 October 2026.

Optional analytics

With consent, we use PostHog’s EU service to understand how this website is used. Visit analytics uses a random browser identifier to estimate unique browsers and sessions. It records page views, referral domain, country, device and browser categories, selected contact and booking link clicks, navigation, sections viewed, scroll depth and estimated active engagement time. A unique browser is not necessarily a unique person. Email clicks are not sent emails and booking link clicks are not completed bookings.

We do not identify visitors by name, create person profiles or capture form contents. We remove URL query strings, URL fragments, full referral paths and arbitrary link text from analytics events. We do not collect campaign parameter values.

Heatmaps and recordings

Heatmaps and session replay each require a separate opt in. Heatmaps combine click positions, pointer movement and scroll patterns. Session replay reconstructs page interactions; it does not record your screen outside this page. Text is masked, form areas and images are blocked, and canvas, embedded frames and media are excluded. Network headers and bodies, console output and automatic error capture are disabled.

Storage, location and retention

Your privacy preference is stored on this browser for up to 180 days. With analytics consent, PostHog uses local browser storage for a random visitor identifier and session information. Sessions normally end after 30 minutes of inactivity. These identifiers remain until consent expires, you withdraw it or you clear browser storage.

Analytics is configured for PostHog’s EU region in Frankfurt. A network connection necessarily exposes an IP address to the receiving service; the project must be configured to discard stored IP addresses and retain country level location only. The production connection will remain disabled until these settings have been verified. PostHog’s service terms and subprocessors may involve processing outside the EU; EU hosting is not a promise that every processing activity is restricted to the EU. See PostHog’s privacy information and data processing agreement.

The intended free plan provides one year of analytics retention and one month of replay retention. This setup will not enable paid billing. Data collection can stop when the free allowance is reached. Once connected, reporting will use aggregate results through an authenticated connection; private reporting credentials are not embedded in this website.

Your choices and rights

Our basis for optional analytics, heatmaps and recordings is your consent. You can reject all optional tracking or withdraw consent at any time through Privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawal takes effect on this browser, including other open tabs, and clears local analytics identifiers. It does not reverse earlier processing. Contact us for questions or requests to access, correct or delete data, or to exercise other applicable rights. Because we do not collect your identity in analytics, we may need information to locate a record. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Contact forms and external links

If you send an enquiry, your name, email, organisation if supplied and message are sent through FormSubmit so Luke can respond. FormSubmit states that submissions are retained for 30 days. We retain correspondence only as needed to respond and manage the relationship or meet legal obligations. Our basis for responding is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries, or taking requested steps before a contract where applicable. See FormSubmit’s privacy terms.

Booking opens CordonGrid Bookings. Your name, email and any guest email addresses are used to verify and arrange the meeting, create an iCloud calendar event and Zoom meeting, and send invitations and updates. Attendee email addresses are visible to other invitees. The booking site does not use optional analytics. Website hosting also involves operational and security processing by the hosting provider, including network information needed to serve the site. The choices on this page control the optional PostHog integration, not the hosting provider’s own operational records.
